Oracle and OpenAI put ChatGPT inside business software, with $12,000 a year in cloud credits for small firms
A new free-to-start bundle for small businesses comes with ChatGPT Business and yearly Oracle cloud credits.

Oracle and OpenAI have announced a big new partnership. It puts ChatGPT and OpenAI's coding tool, Codex, inside Oracle's business software. Oracle says businesses around the world rely on its technology to run their most critical operations.
The main new product is called Oracle AI Workspace. It is one screen that links ChatGPT to Oracle's apps, company data and cloud services. Workers can describe a business goal in plain words. Plugins in ChatGPT then bring together the right Oracle tools and information to help get it done. Oracle says the company's approvals and controls stay in place.
A second product, Oracle AI Security Mesh, uses OpenAI's cyber models. It helps companies find and fix weak spots in their apps and systems before attackers can use them. Customers decide where testing is allowed.
A third product, Oracle App Composer, lets workers turn an idea into a business app without coding skills. They build the app with Codex, and Oracle runs it for them.
There is also news for small businesses. Oracle announced the AI SMB Bundle, a free-to-start package. It gives $12,000 in Oracle cloud credits each year. It also includes ChatGPT Business and NetSuite QuickStart, a tool that helps with invoicing and cash flow. Oracle says terms, conditions and restrictions apply.
The two companies shared the news on October 27 at Oracle AI World in Las Vegas. Oracle did not say in this release when each product will reach customers.
Open it and check the claim yourself. That is the point.
