Microsoft's free Clarity tool can now show what AI agents do on your website. Agents are AI helpers that shop, book or fill out forms for a person. Microsoft says weekly visits from these agents nearly doubled in three weeks, to almost 2 million. That comes from its study of 5.23 million agent visits.

The new Agent Activity dashboard shows which agents visit your site and what they do there. That includes searches, form submissions, logins, downloads, appointment bookings and checkout. For now, the supported agents include those from Google, OpenAI and Anthropic.

Why does this matter? Microsoft gives an example. An agent might find the right product but miss a promotion, or reach checkout and get stuck. When that happens, Microsoft says, you may lose a customer without ever knowing why.

Clarity can also run test visits. These tests show whether an agent finished an important task, how long it took, and what could work better. Microsoft is starting with shopping and travel.

There is news for local businesses too. Brand Agents is an AI helper that sits on your own site. It can help a visitor find the right service and book it. It connects with tools like Square, Jobber and Calendly. Eligible WordPress businesses can start today. For eligible WooCommerce and Shopify stores, products can also show up when shoppers ask Copilot or Bing for recommendations.

A third tool, Ask Clarity, answers questions about how people use your site. For now, it is in a closed test for retailers.

What this does not mean. It does not mean Clarity fixes your website. It shows what agents and people do there and tests whether agents can finish a task.
