Meta's Muse AI can now talk out loud, with a face that reacts as you speak
Meta is rolling out real-time voice and moving avatars in the Muse app in the US, so you can talk to its AI assistant instead of typing.

Meta's AI assistant, Muse, can now talk with you out loud. Meta previewed real-time conversations at its Connect 2026 event. Now it is rolling them out in the Muse app on phones, on the web and on Mac. You start by tapping the phone icon in the top-right corner of the app.
The idea is that it is often easier to think out loud. You can talk through an idea without worrying about the exact words to type. Meta's example is planning a trip. You start with a half-baked idea, like the city you always wanted to see or the one meal you would plan the trip around. Muse picks up the thread while you talk, even on a walk or while making dinner.
Meta also pitches it for practice. You can prepare for a job interview, run through a presentation or talk through a pitch. Meta says hearing a reply and answering in the moment makes it feel more like the real thing. You can also interrupt Muse if you need to.
Then there is the face. As Muse speaks, an on-screen avatar uses small expressions and gestures that match the tone. It reacts while you talk, so you can tell it is following along. You choose voice only, the avatar next to your chat, or full screen.
There are hundreds of voices, from the energy of a New Yorker to the flair of a pirate. Voice and avatars are rolling out now in the US. Voice is coming soon to Meta's AI Glasses and Muse Charm.
Open it and check the claim yourself. That is the point.
